The "Data Integration Software Engineer" is responsible of analysis and development of Data Integration flows.

  • Business Requirement Analysis
  • Conception of integration solutions
  • Developments and unit tests
  • Support to UAT
  • Support to deployment

 

And support of existing applications.

  • Applicative monitoring
  • Enhancement analysis
  • Support to defect resolution

 

DIMENSION OF THE ROLE

Why ?

Data Integration is used to support use cases such as the synchronization of data between database (one master, one copy), or for the bulk sharing of data between applications either internally or externally to AXA (part of Business Logic Integration).

 

What ?

We use an Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tool to manage elements of Data Mapping and Transcodification. ETL tools are integrated with Scheduling Tools and File Transport tools to cover the end-to-end process i.e. creation of files, transfer of files and receipt of files according to a specified schedule.

 

We are working with 2 editors :

  • Informatica : Based on PowerCenter (in coreIT/Private IaaS) widely used within AXA
  • Talend Cloud : version 8 with OpenShift for engine

 

How ?

- We provide a ETL shareable platform supported by the group.

- We can assist you from end to end throughout your entire project duration and also during the BAU with our devops extended team (Lisbon/Germany/Paris), our experts and infrastructure manager.

- We can adapt our platform architecture to all needs (shared platform for small entities or dedicated one for biggest) with different level of SLA

 

The mission encompasses many aspects :

  • Secure Data Integration projects : Data Integrations are critical and complex projects. The success (or failure) of Programs depends highly on the success (or failure) of Data Integration projects.
  • Develop and maintain a trusting relationship with Delivery Lead and management, ensuring requirements, concerns and expectations are being addressed on regular basis.
  • Contribute to the DI Strategy by using Data Integration assets (framework, guidelines, methodology,…) and propose new ones.

 

OPERATIONAL CONTEXT & MAIN CHALLENGES

The job requires a high degree of autonomy and capability to work in matrix mode.

The Data Integration Software Engineer report to the "Data Integration Product Executive Manager" but has to work under the responsibility of delivery leads.

He could contribute to several projects / solutions in parallel and in the context of an extended team on-shore and near-shore (Lisbon)

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance :

  • Maintenance of the quality of Service: Follow up of the applications, Incidents management and resolution
  • Implementation of corrections and evolutions (with a context of high volume and high performance): Assessment, Study of impact, Conception, Technical specifications, Development, Testing, Delivery, Documentation, Study and proposals for improvement of the existing systems, Performance analysis and optimizations actions on high volumes of data

 

Projects :

  • Implementation and participation to projects : Assessment, Study of impact, Conception, Technical specifications, Development, Testing, Delivery, Documentation
  • If the project is implemented nearshore : monitoring, supervision and validation of the implementation tasks

Your Profile

SKILLS

  • Customer Oriented
  • Ability to work in matrix mode with several stakeholders in a multicultural context (Delivery lead, nearshore team, Operations, …)
  • Sense of commitment and result

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must have :

  • Strong skills in Informatica and/or Talend with significant experiences on perfomance optimization
  • Integration Architecture

 

Nice to have :

  • Java, API, Unix, Experiences on Oracle & SQL would be a great advantage, OpenShift

 

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must have :

  • Good communication skills
  • High degree of autonomy
  • Dynamism, proactiveness
  • Nice to have
  • Insurance & finance Functional knowledge

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • French - Fluent
  • English – C1

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 3 – 5 years in a similar position
