- Be the in-house expert on electricity markets and define the Company's electricity strategy;
- Market the electricity generated by the Company's renewable assets and optimize their value;
- Develop and operate the Company's portfolio of flexible power generation assets;
- Supply B2B and B2C customers and support their decarbonization strategies.
In this context, Flexible Power Generation business unit is looking for a Hydropower Business Engineer to identify and analyse hydroelectric development opportunities, particularly for Pumped Storage Plants (PSP) with a special focus for Europe and North America.
As a Business Engineer, you will have the following main tasks:
· Identify the commercial development strategy and draw up the business plan
· Develop the methodology and the complete asset valuation model in order to identify the best projects and economic opportunities
· In liaison with the other entities of the Integrated Power BU, launch the required market analyses and the necessary monitoring of the energy sector, technologies and political/regulatory developments
· Participate to coordinate interactions with all internal/external stakeholders associated with development projects, tenders, mergers and acquisitions (relevant local authorities, public entities, grid operators, electricity companies, local suppliers)
· Managing potential tenders from initial enquiry through to commercial and financial close
· Participate to the structuring of transactions and the negotiation of potential commercial contracts with co-developers, investors and contractors
· Ensure operational excellence and profitability of Hydro/PSP assets
