Position Description: 

This position reports to the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (“Supervisor”) and will work in close coordination with the Danaher Senior Manager, Legal Service Vendor Relationships.  The Legal Vendor Analyst is responsible for managing Danaher's Legal Tracker management system (and other appropriate IT tools used to automate Legal Vendor processes), providing support to Legal Vendor policies and processes execution, and leading the training and communications program on the aforementioned tools, policies and processes.

Responsibilities

Legal Vendor policies & processes sustainment

  • Create and sustain a network of Legal Vendor Champions across the Danaher Legal and Compliance Organization
  • Monitor adherence to the Danaher Billing Guidelines and Legal Vendor processes across the whole Danaher organization.
  • Create and manage Legal Vendor files to store all documentation generated by the processes (Engagement letters, T&C, RFP documentation, Assessment, etc).
  • Establish internal network of Finance Managers across corporate, platform and Opcos to obtain legal vendor expense data from the financial system, Legal Tracker interface with AP department and harmonize legal vendor expense reporting.

Legal Vendor Systems management

  • Manage the current Danaher E-billing system (Legal Tracker).
  • Identify, assess, and implement systems to automate the Legal Vendor processes, (such as invoice review tools, RFP platforms and others).
  • Developing and maintaining standard work for use of Legal Tracker and other Legal Vendor systems by Danaher associates and their legal vendors.
  • Together with the Legal Vendor Champions provide user support and manage user permissions of Legal Tracker and other Legal Vendor Systems.
  • Develop and maintain the documentation of Legal Tracker and other Legal Vendor systems.
  • Management of the contractual relationship with the vendor of Legal Tracker and other Legal Vendor Systems.
  • Escalate any bugs or technical issues to the Support Service of any Legal Vendor Systems and follow-up until their resolution.
  • Identify functionality and enhancements to Danaher's current Legal Tracker Instance. Coordinate any enhancement development work to be done by Legal Tracker Vendor or authorized partners.
  • Coordinate with Legal Operations Data Analytics Manager, the connections of analysis tools to Legal Vendor Systems.

Training and Communication

  • Act as subject matter expert for Legal Tracker System, other future Legal Vendor Systems and related processes.
  • Prepare and update appropriate training materials regarding Danaher billing guidelines, Vendor Management processes and Legal Tracker usage.
  • Lead a comprehensive training program with Legal Vendor Champions on Danaher billing guidelines and legal vendor processes and systems.
  • Coordinate periodic communications plan regarding policies, processes and systems updates and reminders.
  • Act as project manager of any projects related to Danaher's billing guidelines, processes, or systems. Coordinate the change management activities as part of these projects.
  • Supporting the development and execution of a regular program of KPI reporting to assess the effectiveness of the legal fee management program.

Qualifications

  • Legal expense management experience
  • Keen attention to detail; discretion in dealing with highly-sensitive information
  • Superior analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability; identify issues and use independent judgment to solve problems and provide solutions
  • Be flexible and work well independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate comfortably and effectively with individuals in a wide range of functions, and at a wide range of levels, throughout the organization in addition to Danaher law firms and other legal vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change related to new or updated systems, policies and processes. Experience with any well-known change management methodology is preferred (ADKAR or similar).
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle complex change management and prioritize key activities
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Powerpoint. Experience with Legal Tracker and data analytics tool (PowerPivot, PowerBI, Tableau) is preferred.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the areas of legal fee management.
  • Position is remote (subject to in-person attendance at kaizens, workshops and other meetings as necessary) but the individual can work from Danaher’s office in Washington DC as frequently as desired.

The salary range for this role is 90-125k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
