Center for Industrial Process Technology group performs research on the development of new technologies and their implementation in existing chemical processes. The research group focuses on the miniaturization and intensification of chemical production processes and valorization of waste products. Technologies include the use of ultrasound, green chemicals, continuous reactors, photo chemistry and artificial intelligence.
Project
You will have your dedicated research project on applying artificial intelligence techniques to intensify chemical processes. The aim of the project is the creation of a methodology to execute in-silico process intensification. Therefore, the project will involve both simulation work and lab experiments to validate the obtained results. The simulation work will be based on integrating Python AI algorithms with commercial software to generate new process equipment configurations. Once the system is in-silico optimized, the configuration will be tested in real-life scenarios.
