The Site Controller (f/m/d) for Leica Biosystems leads the finance department at our manufacturing site in Nussloch, and our European distribution center in Taunusstein. In this position, you will manage the financial statements for the Nussloch site (statutory and management reporting) and will be responsible for financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
Through close collaboration and business partnership with site leadership, functional leaders, global finance functions, and external auditors, the incumbent actively supports tactical and strategic decision making and provides clear visibility to financial performance. The site controller also drives process improvement activities within and beyond the finance organization and maintains and improves the monthly financial forecast process to enable informed and timely decision making.

You will be a part of the global Core Histology Finance Team, as well as the Nussloch site leadership team, reporting to the Senior Finance Director, Core Histology.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain accurate financial statements (statutory and management reporting) in compliance with HGB and US GAAP
Identify Risks and Opportunities to financial performance, at the Nussloch site and beyond, and actively drive actions in close collaboration with functional leaders and experts
Review monthly close results for Nussloch and Taunusstein with shared service accounting team to ensure accuracy, create monthly reporting and prepare financial statements in accordance with HGB.
Measure and impact Working Capital management (DSO, DPO and Inventory)
You will bring strong financial stability through closing process, internal controls, cost discipline and forecasting accuracy
Support professional development of direct reports and global finance team members through coaching and mentoring
The essential requirements of the job include:
Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline
5-7 years of work experience in Financial Planning, Accounting or related field, with minimum of 3 years of experience in production/manufacturing environment
Experience working with large ERP System (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.) and/or data warehouse system (SAP BW, Oracle BI, etc.)
Experience working in a multicultural, international environment
Proficient in German and English (both written and spoken)
