Each year, Turing Centre for Living Systems (CENTURI) offers a unique opportunity to talented PhD students to join our international scientific community at the Luminy campus, Marseille, starting autumn.
CENTURI will fund up to 8 PhD positions.
PhD students will work in an interdisciplinary life science environment, and have backgrounds in any of the following fields: cell or developmental biology, immunology, neurobiology, biophysics, theoretical physics, computer science, bioinformatics, applied mathematics, engineering.
Candidates can apply to one of the advertised CENTURI projects, by February 15th!
PhD students will be co-supervised by two or three supervisors from our research community.

WHAT WE OFFER:
The position is funded by The Turing Center for Living Systems (CENTURI), an interdisciplinary institut that aims at deciphering the complexity of biological systems and federates researchers from 20 different research institutes in biology, physics, mathematics, computer science and engineering.
CENTURI offers a vibrant, highly interactive working environment with the ability to work with researchers and engineers from many disciplines.
CENTURI offers a three-year contract from Aix-Marseille University. Gross salary: 2104 EUR
The position would ideally start in October 2024, considering the administrative times to enroll in the doctoral school (approximately 2-3 months).
The recruited PhD will conduct their project in Marseille - Campus Luminy (site of the Parc National des Calanques).

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED RESEARCH FIELDS, REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL, PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, OTHER RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must have a scientific Master degree certificate in order to enroll in a doctoral school
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Academic achievements
- Past research experience (internships, master thesis)
- Interest to work in a multidisciplinary research environment
- Enthusiasm and communication skills
