The Director, Cloud Services will serve as a business leader for Axway’s cloud delivery teams for the EMEA region, driving business processes to improve, implement, support, and adjust delivery models in the software services industry. They will be responsible for managing a team of cloud delivery engineers, working directly with customers and executives. Additionally, they will be an active participant in the sales cycles to assist the sales teams in driving new services opportunities with Axway’s enterprise level customers.


Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the business and operations for Axway’s cloud delivery operations

  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery performance in terms of effectiveness, efficiency and client satisfaction of the managed cloud delivery teams

  • Define the functional, organizational, system and process model to enable the successful delivery of managed cloud delivery for Axway’s customers

  • Analyze the cost components and define and execute mechanisms to reduce the cost of delivery and improve the profitability of the cloud organization

  • Partner with other teams across the company to leverage the technical capabilities for the cloud customer base

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of industry developments related to Axway offerings

  • Create a focus on Service Management for Axway’s customers, defined by consistent, highly repeatable processes, methods and deliverables, coupled with rigorous execution

  • Evaluate staffing metrics and services performance to determine and manage to an optimal Service Management staffing plan.

  • Interact with customers to ensure Service Management and Delivery goals and objectives are clear, and ensuring that these delivery expectations are met

  • Maintain operational efficiencies, application stability and ensure team scalability

  • Develop and implement best practices to drive operational efficiencies for Axway’s services customers

  • Safeguard Axway and Axway customer data through compliance with Axway policies and the appropriate use of Axway equipment and facilities.


Key Competencies:



  • Knowledge of Axway solutions and products is a plus, including:

    • API Manager (Axway’s API solutions)

    • B2Bi (including Gateway Interchange with protocols AS2, FTP/S and SFTP)

    • Axway’s MFT solutions, including Secure Transport & Transfer CFT



  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

  • Experience developing business plans and executing to them

  • Proven experience working or managing an Run operations team

  • Proven experience working or managing in a managed cloud, hosted and/or SaaS operation

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem communication skills

  • Handles stress well and can work well in a multitasking environment

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Ability to lead, motivate and direct the cloud delivery team

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, including confident formal presentation skills

  • Experience in managing large scale operational environments on behalf of customers

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines

  • Fundamental accounting and financial reporting skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


Qualifications:



  • BS in Business, Engineering or Computer Science and graduate degree preferred.

  • 7+ years hands-on enterprise software operational experience

  • 5+ years project management experience

  • 5+ years of managed services or hosted business experience

  • In depth knowledge of B2Bi and MFT; with technical consulting experience is a plus.

  • Proven project management skills, including management of multiple concurrent projects, including management of consultants

  • Solution development process experience

  • Must have a relevant University Degree or equivalent work experience
