We are looking for a Field Service Supervisor to lead a team of Field Service technicians and coordinates all troubleshooting and repairs of all Flowserve and Non-Flowserve valve & actuator products for customers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, mining and water/wastewater industries.

The job also involves coordination with QRCs and CSCs in EMEA region and train their Field service technicians, create a pool of resources that are available to customers outside of their region, in case of demand. Scope of work includes T/A tracking and coordinating T/As in EMEA region.

Customers are based onshore and offshore. This position requires an experienced senior engineer / technician who can provide confident expertise in the face of operational problems. The Field Service Manager will plan / assign repair and installation of equipment, oversee start-up, conduct maintenance, and monitor the performance of products at our customers’ locations. While the technician may be the only Flowserve representative on site, they can call upon the resources of Flowserve’s Field Service and/or Service Engineering Team to ensure that our products are operating at peak performance. The position is on-the road most of the time and is organizationally based in the global Quick Response Centre (QRC) network or any of the major Flowserve valve manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively support a positive HSE culture to reduce lost time injuries and recordable accident frequency rate and maintain a safe hazard free work environment. Work according FLS and Customer safety regulation and rules. Responsible for organization of required equipment (tools, PPE, ...).

  • Make direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests.

  • Assess mechanical / instrument / Electric related problems and take actions to resolve promptly.

  • Oversee the full cycle of repair: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.

  • Ensure that equipment is installed successfully and on schedule.

  • Check equipment prior to start-up and assess start-up performance.

  • Work side-by-side with our customer’s personnel, and lead work crews as required.

  • Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.

  • Train customers in the proper procedures for operating and maintaining Flowserve products.

  • Identify Field Service sales opportunities for sales to follow up, quote and presentation to the customer.

  • Collaborate with Flowserve Sales Engineers to ensure a coordinated approach to serving our customers.

  • Collaborate effectively with the supporting organizations of Flowserve, including the repair centers and commercial organization.

  • Maintain organized, accurate, timely records, including daily reports, jobs quoted, jobs performed, and time and materials charged using Flowserve designated systems and processes.

  • Supervise and perform Inspections and testing on customer site, workshop or third-party repair facility.

  • Perform start up troubleshooting on site or via online support.

  • Inspection / reporting of damaged claimed valves on site.

  • Perform last minute risk analyses, risk assessments on site.

  • Regular contact with the local base as well as all the manufacturing plants and QRCs in order to access technical information, guides, procedures etc.

  • During non-booked season, extend support / assist their local QRC / factory where they are based out of.

  • Communicate and support with root cause analysis within FLS and the customer.

  • Cross-cultural competence.

  • Able to interface well with customers always presenting a positive perception of the company.

  • Stress resistant and solution oriented.

  • Complete and submit the final report prior to leaving job site.

  • Communicate by word and actions Flowserve’s values for ethics, safety, and quality.

Requirements:

  • Technical High Scholl (HTL) and/or Bachelor/Master with mechanical engineering orientation or similar

  • A minimum of ten years assembly, test, trouble shooting of all or any of the FCD product lines.

  • Proficient in all factory testing requirements for valves, actuators and positioners including testing software and troubleshooting of digital products.

  • Autonomous, extensive travel, both domestic and international.

  • Excellent documentation skills regarding service reports and other documentation.

  • Clear, accurate and professional verbal and written communication.

  • Able to work well without supervision and interface well with customers always presenting a positive perception of the company.

  • Proficient computer skills for accessing and navigating systems including Oracle, SAP, IGS (Villach), P!NXT, Valquo (Villach), Windchill, Valvesight, LMS, PMP, ISOquest, SharePoint, FlexDash, MS-Excel, -Word, -Outlook, -Teams, etc. Adapt to AMP system as soon as this is implemented in FCD.

  • Willingness to have / get the necessary immunization, vaccinations and medicine which are mandatory to travel international.

  • Independently organize travel, rental car, flight, hotel, and related site access / permits.

  • Prior job preparation including valve data, tools, torque values, etc..
