It’s an exciting time to join the Finance Transformation team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. In this role you'll support finance led initiatives through project planning, business analysis, communications and change management activities.

You'll work on multiple project and small change deliveries engaging with business subject matter experts and process owners, supporting the extraction and documentation of business led requirements, capturing, and assessing the business and application impacts of proposed changes in a structured way while ensuring that the relevant business areas impacted are ready for any changes and are effective in implementing new projects and change.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week in our Ipswich office with occasional travel to other AXA sites. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Assisting the day-to-day administration of business led change activities, providing support to the finance function and dealing with various tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Finance Transformation team.
  • Supporting finance project managers and change leads in maintaining project plans and roadmaps and producing reporting packs and documents in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Analysing business processes, identifying alternative solutions, assessing feasibility, and recommending new approaches seeking to leverage new technology.
  • Producing business requirement documents on behalf of Finance – identifying the deliverables required to achieve project and small change objectives and to enable benefits to be delivered.
  • Providing analytical data as required to support project and small change deliverables and assist in decision making process.
  • Providing aid with regular communication to the business teams and key stakeholders on project and small change progress and deliverables.
  • Supporting and conducting meetings and workshops including minute taking and actions and distributing and owning the delivery of them post meeting.
  • Co-ordinating and contributing to User Acceptance Testing and Business Verification testing to include the review of Test Approach and Test Plan documentation and Testing Status Updates.

Your Profile

What we’re looking for: 

  • Working towards AAT or CIMA/ACCA or proven experience within a finance function.
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies with some experience of project planning and scheduling.
  • Proven ability of facilitating and organising workshops.
  • Knowledge of process modelling techniques with the use of business modelling tools.
  • Commercial and financial understanding ideally gained within a financial services environment.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong written skills required to produce analysis and design documentation, with the ability to explain complex scenarios in an easily understandable way.
  • Ability to engage effectively with people from all areas and levels of the business within the team, across teams, at senior levels and with external parties.
