Rivage Investment is a major player in the Infrastructure debt sector and continues to grow developing new products that respond to the needs of investors. The company has nearly 50 employees of various nationalities. The strong and continuing development of Infrastructure Debt is leading the company to reinforce the Portfolio Management team.
The Portfolio Management team
Belonging to the Infrastructure Debt Front Office, the Portfolio Management team is responsible for monitoring infrastructure loans and projects after the Deal Execution team has taken them to Financial Close. The team monitors both credit quality and credit events in the life of the financings. The current scope includes about 80 projects.
The Portfolio Management team interacts with the Borrowers, Sponsors and Agents, and is integrated within Rivage, having daily discussions with the Infrastructure Debt, Middle Office/Back Office, ESG, Compliance teams as well as senior management of the firm.
Job description
The Portfolio Management Apprentice will be part of a 3-person team, and will be in charge of a portfolio of transactions, which implies carrying out the following non-exhaustive list of tasks:
- Writing and presenting the annual reviews of projects within the infrastructure portfolio, including
- Annual credit reviews;
- Review of internal credit ratings;
- Evaluation the "Qualifying infrastructure" criteria (calculation of the Solvency 2 regulatory capital "SCR Spread" applicable to our insurance clients).
- Analyzing the covenants received on your portfolio and manage any potential difficulties in conjunction with the fund managers and the borrower (and/or agent)
- Analyzing requests for waivers and amendments and manage the borrower's (and/or agent's) requests in conjunction with the fund managers and, if necessary, in conjunction with the lawyers and other internal functions (Credit Committee, Compliance, Legal…)
- Monitoring of watchlist transactions in collaboration with the front office managers and other internal departments if necessary
- Carrying out portfolio performance monitoring reports: quarterly reports for investors, participation in the valuation committee, specific internal or investor presentations and reports, collection of financial and non-financial data for ESG purposes.
- Occasionally, being involved in the execution of deals where the structure is already stabilized, or the credit profile already known by the firm.
The Analyst should be a driving force for the improvement of management processes and operational monitoring of our transactions.
Prospect for permanent position if the apprenticeship is successful.
Candidate profile
We are looking for a candidate with:
- a master’s degree from a business school or university;
- at least one successful experience in structured finance or infrastructure finance, e.g. in a bank or an asset management company;
- fluent English and French. Spanish will be a plus;
- an advanced knowledge of Excel.

Due to the continued growth of our activities and expected growth of the Portfolio Management team, there is the potential for a successful apprenticeship to lead to the offer of a permanent position.
