Professors Sydnee Caldwell (UC Berkeley), Ingrid Haegele (LMU) and Andreas Kostøl (BI Norwegian Business school) are recruiting a 3-year postdoc position at the BI Norwegian Business School within the area on human resource practices and wage -inequality.
The position and project are based in Oslo at BI Norwegian Business School, department of Economics with collaborating partners from Ludwig Maximillian University in Munch, UC Berkeley and the National Bureau of Economics Research.
There will be project meetings in Norway, Germany and the US.
The postdoctoral associate will collaborate with Caldwell, Haegele and Kostøl on a set of research projects which rely on survey and administrative data. They will assist with the design and implementation of large-scale surveys, as well as with data analysis and writing.
The ideal candidate has a PhD in Economics with a strong quantitative background including experience with administrative data and interest in labor or personnel economics. The ideal candidate is fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Norwegian is not expected or required. Experience with survey data is a plus, but not required.
Desired start date: 1st September 2024.
