Role summary:

Own, be accountable for, and drive product line strategy and growth. Accountable for driving development and implementation of products that meet market needs from conception to launch, commercialization and retirement in order to achieve growth and profitability of the product line.

Qualification / Typical Profile

10+ years working experience in various roles; preferably application experience. Strong knowledge of FLS product suite. Technical background with commercial acumen. Ability to think strategically and lead cross functionally by influence.

Your role:

  • Own, be accountable for, and drive product line strategy and growth. ​

  • Analyze customer trends, understand high level market requirements and competitive landscape (collaborating with Sales and Segment Leader) and translate to full lifecycle product specifications and requirements (Original Equipment/ Aftermarket/Services & Solutions) through direct customer interactions, ​

  • Develop Product Line Strategic Roadmap for differentiated product placement in the market which is aligned with BU strategy that will drive Multi-Generational Product Plan (MGPP). ​

  • Prioritize, develop & gain business case approva l addressing enhancements/gaps through DTO, Dtv, NPD & other strategic initiatives. ​

  • Be accountable for getting development projects delivered on schedule, cost and meeting market requirements and making certain that all elements are in place for a successful launch of the product including go to market strategy (channel, manufacturing model: ATO/MTO/ETO); pricing; target customers and launch plans; training for Commercial; readiness for manufacturing. Deliver against business case projections and validate that product meets originally defined market need​.

  • Manage the total product lifecycle to maximize price, revenue, contribution margin and market share through collaboration with Commercial, Operations (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality), Engineering. Is accountable and has authority to drive organization to cost targets by analyzing product cost and designing and implementing a path to get to improved cost position. ​

  • Accountable (in collaboration with Sales and CommOps) to define medium and long-term demand plan​.

  • Monitor, assess and develop solutions for product related systemic business issues or risks , working with Operations and Supply Chain​

  • Track, validate, and execute obsolescence & rationalization strategy as defined in MGPP. ​

Core Capabilities:

  • Senior leader with advanced communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills​

  • Intense customer focus, able to distill pain points and apply FLS solutions​.

  • Ability to inspire and lead a team of direct reports across product families​.

  • Experience working across different cultures and markets​.

  • Strong market research & application skills; ability to apply findings and insights to FLS product portfolio​.

  • In-depth intimate technical knowledge of Business Unit’s products & applications, including manufacturing process and supply chain​.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional leaders in the organization.

Your profile:

  • 10+ years in heavy industry that spans desalination industry.

  • (4) Year business or engineering degree required (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing or Electrical), MBA and/or Advanced Engineering degree preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, Sales, Commercial operations, Product Management, and/or Marketing of engineered products positions

  • Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to create, inspire, and lead virtual teams that deliver results.

  • Proven project management experience with history of successful project completion and payback

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

  • Experience in a multinational company

  • Excelletn command of English; Spanish is beneficial

  • 25-50% Travel required.
