As a Product Marketing Specialist for Electrification Business Area in Shinagawa, Japan, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the future’s strategy focused on growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. Coordinate the sales activities and manage resolution of specific customer problems. The local legal entity of this position is ABB K.K.

This position reports to

Marketing & Sales Mgr, ELSB/SP/IP Japan

Your responsibilities

  • Implementing the local go-to–market Product Marketing strategy, including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global Product Marketing strategy
  • Creating pricing strategies to maximize the business in Japan. Implement strategic pricing for our partners who sell our products to local end users
  • Achieving Product Marketing targets and budgets through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed
  • Executing annual marketing plan in conjunction with relevant Business Units/Product Groups. Preparing business plans focused on business development for a defined market
  • Coordinating market analyses with Sales team members and defines appropriate forecasts and plans. Evaluating and sharing customer research, market conditions and competitor data
  • Overseeing sales execution for assigned products by providing relevant materials and guidance to Sales team(s)
  • Driving sales efficiency by delivering appropriate product knowledge information and training (technical and sales) for each Sales person. Facilitating know-how sharing and cross-collaboration

Your background

  • University Degree
  • Minimum 5 years experiences as sales or marketing
  • Product technical knowledge of electrical product for Low voltage systems
  • Preferred Market knowledge / key customer management.
  • Understanding on importance of Integrity, Health, Safety and Environment
  • JLPT N1 level in Japanese
  • Business level in English
