Come join our Materials Management team in Arden Hills, MN as a Production Planner II. Boston Scientific is a medical device manufacturer delivering millions of medical solutions annually across the globe. Arden Hills produces both finished goods, sub-assemblies, and capital equipment, supporting various parts of our business. This role will be responsible for owning the planning processes, tools, and systems to lead weekly and monthly execution for their production value streams. This position will work with partners in production, purchasing, and engineering and with customer sites across the globe.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Develops, maintains and controls the master production schedule.
  • Maintains and controls the MRP signal to ensure component availability.
  • Facilitates supply response portion of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process, including rough cut capacity planning.
  • Communicates and follows up on issues related with component and assembly availability.
  • Fosters global partnerships with sister sites in Ireland, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica.
  • Participates in strategic projects to improve safety, quality, service, and cost through applications of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Assists production supervisors with the implementation of the production schedule.
  • Prepares reports, presentations and graphs with monthly operating summaries for planning and execution of meetings.
  • Analyzes and interprets marketing forecast reports.
  • Develops "what if" analysis based on regulatory uncertainty.
  • Communicates production planning issues to relevant areas including Global Supply Chain, Marketing, Production Control, Customer Service, etc.

  

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field 
  • experience in supply chain, materials management, or a related field
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Proven ability to work independently

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Production planning experience
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or a related field
  • SAP and/or Rapid Response experience
  • APICS Certification and/or training courses in demand and supply chain planning
  • Experience working in the medical device industry, or other highly regulated industry
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
