As R&D Litho Process Assistant you will be a member of the LithoDev Process Development team, part of the Advanced Patterning department, supporting the researchers and engineers responsible for the lithography processes requested by the process integration departments running imec’s CORE programs, Joint Development Projects, internal advanced patterning projects and technology transfer projects.

What you will do

We are looking for an R&D Litho Process assistant. As a Process Assistant, you will spend a large part of your time in cleanroom. After training, you will support researchers in carrying out the necessary exposures and measurements on Litho & Metrology tools. The position includes carrying out the requested processing correctly and in a timely manner, organizing your own work according to the set priorities, providing assistance to the R&D Engineers, carrying out data analyses, etc. You have your own authority in the technical decision making and independently responsible for the implementation of the litho step operations.

Who you are

  • Professional bachelor's degree in chemistry, physics, electronics or electromechanics, preferable a master's degree in Engineering.  
  • Practical knowledge of Litho processing and related Metrology is a plus, as is experience in a cleanroom. 
  • You are willing to work in a shift system (after completed training period). 
  • You are detail orientated, able to work independently and proactively. 
  • Good knowledge of office packages so that you can analyze correctly and report the data clearly.  
  • Able and willing to learn the new litho tools application packages. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to collaborate. 
  • You are able to solve problems independently.  
  • Given the international character of imec, a high-level of English fluency is necessary.
