Join us as CBTC Sub-System Manager, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Alstom HQ, Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, France.
You will be responsible for the management and successful completion of cross-functional activities leading to the delivery of the Abidjan Line 1 CBTC Sub-system, fulfilling both customer needs and committed QCDP objectives.
You will:
- Manage cross-functionally sub-system level stakeholders, activities and deliverables and make needed arbitration (engineering, product x process, Make or Buy, Costs, Milestones, Interfaces, …) to reach QCDP commitment.
- Coordinate sub-systems activities with other project stakeholders including integration teams, other sub-systems, and project level functions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Contribution to successful Project execution on CBTC Sub-system scope of work:
- Application of Project strategy according to defined contractual and Project commitments and targets, as allocated to CBTC sub-system,
- Active contribution to Project performance,
- Alert in case of deviations impacting project objectives,
- Active contribution to Risks and Opportunity management,
- Compliance insurance with standards, Alstom’s instructions, applicable rules, processes & tools: Code of Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, Quality, Sourcing, Project Management Manual.
Lead and coordination of CBTC Sub-system activities and stakeholders, from requirement capture/analysis to the end of project contractual obligations:
- Achievement of QCDP objectives of the Sub-system,
- Cascade and allocation of Sub-system requirements and QCDP objectives to Sub-system team members,
- Implementation of Sub-system WBS
- Planning, monitoring, control, and management of Sub-system end-to-end activities (scope, schedule, resources, cost, risks, saving, opportunities)
- Coordination and support of consistent cross-functional execution of Sub-system objectives, activities, and deliverables (Engineering, R&D programs…)
- Lead of teams in successful achievement of project objectives,
- Synchronization of stakeholders at Sub-system level and insurance of stakeholders’ alignment.
- Performance of Sub-system level decisions and trade-offs,
- Rebaselining and change management at Sub-system level,
- Management of Sub-system situation and KPI, and report with transparency
- Upon request from PM, is delegated to represent Alstom towards external stakeholders.
Coordination and synchronization of Sub-system activities with other Sub-systems and project teams:
- Active contribution to the resolution of overarching/transverse optimizations or issues,
- Management of interfaces with project-level team members (System Integration Team, Procurement, Sourcing, Installation, Safety, RAMS, SLI, Cybersecurity, Finance, Contract, Configuration & Documentation, Planning, Site Commissioning, quality) and ask, if necessary, for PM arbitration
- Active contribution to the resolution of technical external interfaces of the CBTC sub-system, from definition/specification up to site acceptance.
As our ideal candidate you have:
- A Master degree or bachelor degree,
- 4 years of experience as manager of an operational scope,
- Experience of working in and with multi-national companies and in different business cultures,
- Desirably knowledgeable of ALSTOM way of working for efficient process execution,
- Global knowledge on Communication-Based Train Control functions and architecture (ATC, IXL, CNS, DMS PWS) to challenge technical teams,
- Coordination skills,
- Good communication skills,
- Knowledge of Project management processes,
- Capacity to coordinate and ensure collaboration of multi-site/multi-métier teams,
- You are Result oriented.
