POSITION SUMMARY: The Practice Area Intern will support the Social Impact Practice Area’s (SIPA) People and Operations team to meet the needs of our rapidly growing and expanding business, including assisting with managing our upskilling programs, organizing events, people database upkeep and other internal processes / document upkeep. SIPA was established in 2019, and is BCG's fastest growing practice area, covering topics such as Global Health, Global Development, Education, Total Societal Impact, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. We work with our Global Partners (such as WWF, Gates, Save the Children etc…), clients from the public and social sectors and our copororate clients to solve the world’s most pressing issues and deliver sustainable impact. We are seeking a strong candidate with initiative and aptitude in organizational operations to fill this position. Interest in People topics and Social impact is integral for success in the role. The position will report to the PA Senior Coordinator based in Paris. BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Support the People Team with tasks relating (major data analysis) to our People Programs, Practice affiliation and skills development : Assist with the Social Impact Immersion Program (application & selection process, communication etc…) Assist with the Social Impact Secondment Program (application & selection process, communication etc…) Assist with our SIPA affiliation process and update the Practice Area Affiliation Database Contribute to ad-hoc people related projects (for instance related to learning and development, community building and management etc…) - Support the Operations Team with tasks relating to our SIPA global meetings / events organization : Assist with the preparation, coordination and logistics of global or regional SIPA meetings / events. Manage ad-hoc administrative tasks related to SIPA operations BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated aptitude through strong academic performance and/or prior temp work/intern experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications Project management skills, rigor Organized, detail-oriented and analytical Good interpersonal and communication skills High level of initiative and resourcefulness Ability to work in fast paced environment English fluency Previous experience in data analysis, project management or event management is considered an asset, but not a requirement
