For more details, please find here the to 2021 Capital Market Day video presentation Context In this context, Nexans has engaged in rotating its business portfolio towards electrification through targeted and selective organic growth and through both disposal and acquisition of assets, in order for the group to operate at its full potential. The strategy and Corporate finance teams are in charge of this transformation and cover the process end to end: strategy definition, portfolio optimization, M&A process (target screening, qualification, due diligence and deal execution, post-merger integration), Financial Modelling. Nexans is looking to recruit 2 interns to grow our talent pool and reinforce the strategy and Corporate functions. Why join Nexans ? The role will be in close collaboration to the strategy, M&A and Corporate Finance teams, as well as business executives from across the world A great opportunity to learn in a dynamic and caring environment An opportunity to join strategic functions within a leading global industrial group with a France-based decision center A fantastic opportunity to be involved in a renewed transformation program (2021-2024 new equity story) Internships aim at converting to full-time positions within the Strategy and Corporate Finance functions Areas of responsibilities This role will involve working in close collaboration to the Strategy, M&A and Corporate Finance teams in order to: Build up research, analyses & associated syntheses at different stages of the group strategy definition or M&A processes, covering a broad range of topics such as: Growth strategy Industrial strategy definition Business units turnaround and optimization Market analysis M&A target screening, company analysis, business plan & synergies calculation Be involved along with project management in the definition of the group strategy and its communication: Internally: C-level syntheses and action plan follow up material to support decision making Externally: support in market presentations (e.g. Capital Market Day, Investor Relations, Universal Registration Document) Support in building and maintaining comprehensive financial models to help Management monitoring Group financial performance and engaging with external stakeholders (investors, research analysts, rating agencies, etc.) What we are looking for ? We are looking for young talented people: Motivated, self-driven, interested in learning new concepts and ideas Willingness to working in a fast-paced environment Problem solver, good ability to analyze issues, break problems down in a structured way, and draw insights Impact oriented, has self-drive to identify key issues/root causes and develop solutions Strong interpersonal skills combined with strong communication skills: able to influence and convince her/his audience Good written and oral communication; can easily convey messages in a concise way Excellent synthesis and presentation skills Pack Office (PowerPoint, Excel) proficiency Persuasive and decisive Energetic, tenacious Collaborative Preferred qualifications End-of-course internship Fluent English oral and writing skills Native/ Fluent in French Proven strategy and finance skills, as well as mathematical acumen Proven presentation skills A first experience in strategy consulting or within a group strategy function, investment bank, audit / transaction services is a plusInformations
