Job Overview
You will be part of the IoT (Internet of Things) Center of Excellence at TE Sensors, Toulouse, France. Your mission will be to define and manage the development of wireless IoT sensors for the European, North American and Chinese markets.
We are looking for an experienced system engineer with a proven track record of working with international teams to develop and deliver wireless sensors for harsh industrial environments.
You will work with various teams including mechanical, electronic and software, and oversee overall product definition and technical project development. In this role, you will work autonomously with little supervision. You will need excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as practical experience of technical product development, particularly in electronics, mechanics and radio frequency. You will be the technical guarantor of these innovative products.
Your mission will be to develop high-quality wireless products aligned with TE Sensors' strategy, and to support their deployment with our customers.
Responsibilities
- Define the system architecture of new industrial IoT products
- Write technical briefs
- Supervise the development of IoT products through to validation and production launch
- Provide technical assistance to internal partners
- Evaluate potential new technologies already identified for implementation
- Work with a multi-functional international team: electronics, mechanics, software, quality, industrialization
- Work in accordance with TE Sensors' full life-cycle development processes and international standards.
What your background should look like:
- BAC + 5 in electronics, computer science or equivalent degree
- At least 5 years' professional experience in technical product development, ideally sensors
- Strong experience in product design (electronic, software, mechanical and radio frequency integration)
- Experience in radio frequency development and BLE, LoRaWAN and NB-IoT protocols
- Knowledge of trends in wireless technology, the IoT and its ecosystem
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Autonomy and ability to work in an industrial environment
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
- Spoken and written English
- Ability to travel internationally (occasional)
