In order to serve more than 1.5 bn travelers around the world, we have built a powerful API that gives our travel partners the ability to offer affordable data to their customers when they purchase their flights and book their accommodation.

Telecom Internship (m/f)
You will be working directly with Mehdi Chraibi, co-founder and COO of Kolet.
Your mission will be that of a true Swiss army knife in Telecommunication topics. Our mission is to cover 200+ countries with the best network availabilities and speeds.
To do so, we have to:
Negotiate deals with as many partners. It requires to crunch the commercial offer we receive that includes pricing, technology, mobile operator name, and compare it with the current data base we have of offers from existing partners. Pricing can change on a quarterly basis.
Crunching skills in excel and metabase or equivalent tools is important
More importantly, test the network quality for each of partner and for each country. We select partners based on the right combination of highest network and speed availability (5G and 4G) and cost associated. We are also building redundancy as well to cope with any technical failure that could happen to one of our partners.
You will putting in place a framework to test as many partners and countries - leveraging some crowdsourcing testing platform where we could assign specific tasks to testers around the world, collect feedback and make decision on which partner we should work with (and what should be the back up partner in case we face technical challenge with the first partner)

No, Kolet is a reseller of international data plans when people travel abroad.
Kolet offers these data plans from 3rd party mobile operators or aggregators of mobile operators. Kolet negotiates with preferred partners to get the best pricing, network coverage and networks speed (5G) for its
users.
- Does Kolet manage customer service for their users?
Yes, Kolet takes care of the full relationship with the end customer and helps them out whenever they have a problem. The reason is simple, we believe that our customers are the most important asset we have and we
try and treat them the same way we would like to be treated. We’re breaking away from the traditional telecom sector which has ignored and treated customers poorly for way too long.
- How does Kolet make money?
Kolet partners with travel players (OTAs, airlines, hotels, etc.) to offer data plans to international travelers. Every time a customer purchases a data plan Kolet:
- Pays the eSIM capacity consumed by the user
- Reverses a commission to its travel partner
- Generates it’s margin from the rest
