With over 1,800 students and 80 academic staff, the Department of Finance and Economics is an ambitious, large, and diverse Department within the Faculty of Business and Law. We deliver a wide range of courses covering undergraduate, postgraduate and commercial programmes. We also contribute to the university's portfolio of cutting edge research in areas of Applied Economics, Corporate Governance and Sustainable Finance. 

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Academic Tutor. This role is being offered on a permanent, fractional basis. The successful candidates will be expected to support the department on a 0.6FTE basis. This role provides the holder with the opportunity to contribute very specifically to our strategy of delivering Excellent Education. Some of the role responsibilities will include: 

  • Delivering tutorials across a range of subject areas at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Participating in the delivery and marking of a range of assessment activities across same programmes
  • Support our personal tutoring strategy by acting as a link academic for an assigned group of students
  • Support our ambition to achieve our education metrics by taking part in/leading on specific Education projects
