YOUR TASKS

  • You conduct research within the DIAdIC project. In this project, you evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of an online psychoeducational program for patients with advanced cancer and their caregivers, specifically aimed at dyads.
  • You analyze quantitative data files related to primary outcomes (self-efficacy and emotional functioning) and secondary outcomes.
  • Together with an international team, you analyze both quantitative and qualitative results in a mixed-method research design. Within this design, you are responsible for analyzing interviews and backlog information from the program alongside the available quantitative results.
  • You attend international meetings, actively contributing meaningfully to discussions and taking minutes.
  • You present your research at (inter)national conferences and meetings.
  • As part of a doctoral program, you write three scientific articles.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a degree as Master of Science in Health Promotion.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of research experience.
  • You are knowledge and/or experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
  • You have experience in writing scientific output.
  • You have an enthusiastic and flexible attitude.
  • You have analytical abilities and a critical mindset to evaluate research data in a scientific manner.
  • You have knowledge and/or experience in research involving individuals with advanced cancer and their caregivers (dyads).
  • You have knowledge and/or experience in the development of an eHealth program for individuals with advanced cancer and their close ones, specifically focused on dyads.
  • You have experience with international research and collaborating internationally with researchers.
  • You are strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and (academic) English.
  • You have experience working with SPSS and NVivo.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period of 4 months.
  • Your contract will start on 15/02/2024 at the earliest.
  • Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).  Click here for more information about our salary scales.
