Assistant/Associate/Full Professor ofPublic Law
Candidates must demonstrate solid knowledge of the fundamentals of Public Law. We are particularly interested in strengthening research and teaching in the classic areas of Public Law such as public governance and public finances, tax law and environmental law. More specifically, we are looking for candidates capable of enhancing our research agenda on the role of law in a fast-evolving and uncertain environment. In that sense, we welcome applications from candidates whose research expand in cutting-edge and novel fields such as tech/digital law, climate change and sustainability.
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Law prior to the start of their contract and demonstrate excellence in research through completed projects and a promising research agenda and strong publications record. Applications from candidates already holding a position of Assistant Professor in another institution are also welcome. We encourage application from candidates that are already versed in – or open to – interdisciplinary research.
The successful candidate will be affiliated to the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences. S/he will teach bachelors and postgraduate courses and supervise bachelor and master’s dissertations and, if applicable, PhD theses. The successful candidate will also contribute to executive training within the Faculty or in collaboration with partner institutions such as the Public Policy School.
The teaching language
The teaching language is either French or English, or both.
AIRESS
The African Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) is a research institution based at the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat/Morocco. The Faculty has four main disciples: economics, political science, international relations, and behavioral science for public policies. Recruitment procedure
Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their scientific, pedagogical and behavioural skills, without any discrimination based on religion, race, gender, disability, nationality, or ethnic origin.
The first virtual interviews will start as soon as we receive relevant applications. The shortlisted candidates will have an initial interview with the Recruitment Committee. Candidates selected after this interview will then be invited to present their research work and publications (60 minutes) and a course simulation (60 minutes) before the same Committee.
