Acting as a trusted business advisor, advocate, change agent, and culture champion to designated client groups, the Human Resources Manager drives strategies and actions in support of recruiting, engagement, development, and retention to ensure business needs and strategic plans are achieved in conjunction with business goals.  The HRM serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues and advocates for the growth and development of associates.  The successful HRM will act as a change agent and continue to drive the evolution of our engaged and inclusive culture.  

Major Responsibilities

Responsibility for key talent management and development including:

  • The Human Resources Manager will provide ongoing HR expertise and support to an assigned Global client group, including coaching, consulting, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, associate development, performance management, recruiting/staffing, and front-line support for HR-related questions.

  • Consults with leaders and managers on business and performance needs and serves as an advocate for the associate, management, and Company by partnering with employees and leaders to address concerns, explain HR policies/practices, and facilitate team effectiveness.

  • Partners with leaders to define talent needs, and plan workforce and talent pipeline requirements in line with business strategy. Supports leaders in providing associates with development opportunities that align with current and future business requirements. Collaboration with business leaders and managers to ensure solid plans are in place to drive sustained team development through competency assessment and development of associates.

  • Drives annual HR processes for the assigned client group including performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, talent development, compensation planning, annual engagement survey, etc.

  • Responsible for assigned functional projects and serves as lead in executing organization-wide initiatives. Motivating change agent to support the achievement of business initiatives and goals.

  • Has personal ownership for key HR metrics (recruitment, development, retention, DE&I etc.) and partners with leaders to dive to root cause and develop and execute appropriate countermeasures where needed.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred

  • 5-8 years of HR Strategic Partner experience. Prior global HR experience preferred

  • Proven and demonstrable experience in driving the HR function within a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Proficiencies

  • Effective communicator in a variety of settings from one on one to large groups, utilizing attentive listening skills and adjusting the message to fit with the audience

  • Balances needs of business partners to identify, build, and deliver upon opportunities while considering cultural and ethical factors in making fair decisions

  • Utilizes critical thinking to ask the right questions, analyze situations with information from diverse sources to uncover root causes, and evaluate the risks and benefits of solutions.

  • Sound decision-making utilizing a mixture of analysis, experience, and knowledge from self and other resources to consider relevant factors and make a principled decision.

  • Has strong orientation to accomplishing objectives in a measurable and sustainable way, recognizing obstacles while utilizing resources to overcome these, helping self and others to achieve results.

  • Has the managerial courage to provide direct and actionable feedback, support others in facing difficult situations/decisions while willing to do the same, and champion potentially unpopular ideas based on strong judgement.

  • Plans, aligns, and executes strategies and objectives around talent development to meet growth requirements of the business.

Travel % of Travel, include approximate overnight stays per week

  • The need to travel will be moderate within this role (<30%) including international.

The salary range for this role is 90k -120k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
