Mission

Are you interested in the intersection of law, technology and cars? Join us for an exciting internship opportunity at Nissan Europe.We are seeking for a trainee/intern to support the Energy, New Technology & Data Legal team starting May 2024 for a duration of 6 months.This opportunity would suit a tech-savvy law student or legal graduate who would like to gain experience in automotive industry with emerging technologies in an in-house legal services context and who would like to experiment with those areas.The role:The internship is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the day-to-day workings of a legal department focused on energy, new technology and data: from contract management (establishing, negotiating and reviewing) to regulations application and correct adoption of new technologies in the context of Nissan customers.Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research on various legal matters relevant to the contract principles, case law, new technology implementation, application of data protection in the automotive industry context.Drafting Legal Documents: Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including policies, guidelines and legal opinions.Regulation Analysis: Analyse and provide insights on European regulations affecting automotive industry and contribute to the formulation of legal strategies.General Support: Provide administrative support to the legal team, including document management, support in answering contract implementation queries from internal clients, coordination of legal activities, assisting in training business colleagues on legal and contractual principles and other tasks as needed.Background Experience:Master’s degree in law (M1/M2).Nice to have plus:Focused master on emerging new technology / energy / digital laws / ESG / data protectionAttending one of the French Bar Schools (EFB, EDAC, etc.)You have:Excellent command of English, written and spokenStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Have legal curiosity, innovation, initiative, and strong collaboration skillsWhy you’ll love Nissan:Since its establishment, Nissan has been passionate about creating innovative technologies and products in the spirit of "do what others don’t dare to do."
