Main responsibilities:
Development of Total Water Management (TWM) Opportunities (basic design, costing, survey onsite, customer meeting);
Project execution phase management and team/sub-vendors coordination (Leading engineering, procurement, construction);
Support to commissioning and start up;
Support O&M (Operation Maintenance) team for troubleshooting and continuous improvement implementation.
Working Environment :
The jobholder would functionally report in the Commercial Engineering organization to the TWM Engineering Manager
Home based in France preferably in the area of North-East
Be familiar in a wide range of water treatment process technologies (Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, filtration, DAF, MBR, MBBR, etc..)
Be available 50% time travelling
What you will do:
Assists the TWM project developer from the qualification of the opportunity/project, helps to clarify the scope, identify/assess technical risks and define the best technical solutions also creating also competitive advantage for Nalco.
Supervise and/or take over on site survey, conception, and basic design by making sure the best technical and economical compromise is reached between OPEX and CAPEX.
Evaluates specifications, check compliance with the customer requirement, set schedule execution and completion times, and staffing needs for each phase of construction and/or equipment installation.
Define technical specification and procedures for each step of the project execution, to assist the purchase department when issuing a PO to our sub-suppliers.
Provide information for Water mapping.
On a project base, make sure to fit with the available budget for each part of the project, and able to discuss with Peers/Manager in case of any problem rising (engineering, partners, and fabricants) during the project execution and improve construction methods.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
Review project specifications and confers with internal and/or external Engineering concerning assistance required such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, evaluation of field conditions, design changes, and reports. Inspects construction site to determine conformance of site to design specifications and equipm ent placement.
Assistance on existing OM contracts for troubleshooting and diagnostic and Improvements identification
Reviews plant operations through evaluation of operating reports, laboratory data and visual inspections
Take over supervision of installation of new equipment at TWM site interacting with local workers.

Your profile:
Ideally you have a degree qualified chemical engineer with proven experience in process selection, designing and implementation of water treatment systems and chemical injections packages
You have a good knowledge of mechanical, piping, electrical, materials and their compatibility with most common chemicals and specialties
You are familiar with control & monitoring instrumentation, remote and local modes
Awareness of most used international standards and norms required for equipment construction and certification
English and French fluent (written and spoken)
