Job Description
The Solutions Engineer works very close together with our Sales Engineers and plays an important role to anticipate customer test challenges and find the best solution for their measurement applications. The responsibility includes technical pre-and post-sales support. Market segments spans from Aerospace and Defense to Automotive and Energy with focus on emerging technologies such as innovative Semiconductor Testing and Quantum.
Typical customer requirements are solutions for a wide range of signal analysis and electronic component test applications always in front of future state of the art technologies.
The customers are major accounts in the Aerospace & Defense and Communication/Wireless Industry as well as Universities and Geographic mid-size and start-up companies. The position is located at Keysight Technologies Office in Les Ulis (Paris, France).
The following job-related skills are required:
- BSc or MSc in engineering, preferably electrical or telecommunications
- Knowledge of RF&MW test fundamentals in theory and practical measurement applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of High-Frequency Electronics and Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) Theory: Transmission Lines, Smith Chart, S-Parameters.
- Proven expertise in Active Device Characterization: Gain Compression, Intermodulation, Noise Figure, Noise Power Ratio.
- Practical experience in the development, design and setup of test systems
- Valid EU driving license
- Fluent French and English language skills
- Do to nature of our customers an EU citizen is mandatory. Preferably French Nationality
The following job-related skills would be valuable:
- Practical experience using Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, high end Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Waveform generators and Signal Integrity Solutions.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of generation, demodulation and analysis of digital communication signals
- Programming skills applied in a T&M environment using programming languages such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, Visual Basic, C/C++/C# or Python
- Understanding of I/O connectivity and instrument drivers
