Role- Standard Solution Engineer

Location - Pune

Job Summary -

The Standard Solutions associate provides technical & product expertise to sales representatives, resellers, and customers during the sales process within a defined geography for our Fluid Technologies and Asset Protection (FTAP) business unit.

ou will be given access and use of a set of software tools to improve the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of project quotations compliant to customer specifications.

Pall Corporation, the global leader in Energy, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemicals, and Automotive fluids management is recruiting for a Technical Sales Support for the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemicals, and chemical marketspace.

Position Objective

  • Support the commercial sales team in developing and closing new business
  • Provide Technical direction and supporting documentation to our sales force to resolve customer needs
  • Communicate with customers to diagnose technical solutions & ensure understanding of Pall’s value propositions in support of business development
  • Work with Application Specialist, Application Development, Business Development and R&D to find solutions to more complex problems and application requirements
  • Support Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemicals, and chemical Market Campaigns including contributions to white paper development, webinars, and tradeshow involvement
  • Review and revise customer standard design procedures
  • Act as technical expert within Vertical Market of responsibility.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for review and interpretation of customer’s technical specifications and support discussion around and development of those documents with the customer.
  • Performs appropriate calculations to develop a process design that will meet customer requirements.   Selects equipment that can support the process design in alignment with Pall’s preferred product positioning.
  • Develop and utilize quotation templates for advantage applications product positions.
  • Develop, enhance, and utilize product selection and budgetary pricing tools.
  • Ensure competitive product knowledge within market advantage applications and coordinate with competitive product Application Specialist in support of in value proposition discussions with the customer.
  • Travels for a variety of reasons in support of sales; review customers operations/facility, review customer designs, explain the proposed process and equipment, support value proposition discussions, and review the project in detail with the multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Develops a project execution plan, schedule, material, and labor cost estimates.
  • Develops the process description, scope description, technical exceptions, and clarifications to bid documents, and technical drawing package for formal proposal to the customer. 
  • Ensures clean project handoff to operations and provides technical support / context during project execution. 
  • Provides technical support / context to service team during system installation.
  • Assists with equipment warranty claims.  
  • Stays abreast of technology in key applications areas.
  • May assist with pilot test plans and demonstrations.  Provides technical support for in-house and field testing.
  • Develop knowledge of customer operations and applications.
  • Assist with order entry and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Experience and Qualifications:

  • B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical or Industrial) with Technical sales/support experience
  • Total experience of 5+yrs
  • 5 years’ experience in filtration, technical inside sales or application engineering
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working within the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemicals, and chemical industry a plus.
  • Experience with filtration in the Energy/Fuels, Refinery, & Chemical markets an advantage.
