In this position, you will be a technical leader for all engineering activities in assignments classified as high engineering complexity. You will be ensuring that the activities related to Controls/Automation within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with customer’s contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Your responsibilities
- Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform task or sequence of tasks, for innovative projects with complex features.
- Assisting in creating proposals for projects through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimations.
- Supporting Contract Manager in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.)
- Creating work plans and cost estimations in the area of responsibility.
- Evaluating risks and opportunities, strategizing mitigation of one’s engineering projects/programs.
- Contacting customers, contractors, suppliers.
- Overseeing the creation of subcontracts and manages subcontractors jointly with other involved functions, including supply chain management.
- Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues within ABB.
Your background
- At least Bachelor degree in Engineering – Electric/Controls/Automation.
- At least 5 years of experience preferably in Automotive sector, in Engineering/Project management positions.
- Basic knowledge of Robotics in industrial environment.
- Knowledge in International Controls standards/regulations (ACTIF) and knowledge on programmatic safety devices.
- Electrical clearance needed : B0, B2V, B2V ESSAI, BC, H0V.
- Fluent English and French obligatory.
- No obstacles for traveling.
- Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security rules: HSE is everyone's business.
