AdresseWith over 1,800 students and 75 academic staff, the Department of Finance and Economics is an ambitious, large, and diverse Department within the Faculty of Business and Law. We deliver a wide range of courses covering undergraduate, postgraduate and commercial programmes. We also contribute to the university's portfolio of cutting edge research in areas of Applied Economics, Corporate Governance and Sustainable Finance.
We are currently recruiting excellent educators to our Accounting and Finance team. This innovative team currently work across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the department. They have developed fresh curriculum that include authentic assessment, work integrated learning opportunities and strong connections to employers and professional bodies. They have also produced research with impact, contributing to new thinking in areas such as Sustainable Finance, Corporate Governance and Financial Technology. We are looking to expand this team and seeking to recruit individuals who can contribute to our agenda of delivering excellent education and research with impact.
We are currently seeking applications from individuals who have specialist research or industry experience in areas such as:
- Sustainable Finance (including sustainable investment and ESG reporting)
- Financial Technology (including innovations in technology, risk management and Fintech & sustainability).
As a Lecturerin Accounting and Finance, you will have a specialism in the above areas, and a plan to develop both your subject expertise and leadership quality even further. Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:
- Practical experience in this subject area (supported by relevant professional quals), or an early track record of producing relevant research with impact.
- Innovative and Inclusive teaching practices
- Evidence of ability to work well independently and in larger teams.
- Emerging external profile that with a plan to further develop this in a manner that contributes to university strategy
As a Senior Lecturerin Accounting and Finance, you will not only have a specialism in these areas, but will also be confident leading teams of individuals to deliver units, programmes and projects related to your expertise. So, successful candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:
- Practical experience in this subject area (supported by relevant professional quals), or a strong track record of producing relevant research with impact.
- Innovative and Inclusive teaching practices
- Evidence of leadership experience, either in Higher Education, research or a professional role.
- Leading external profile that with a plan to further develop this in a manner that contributes to university strategy
