  • Do theoretical, numerical, and experimental research on sea ice loads on structures and/or sea ice conditions
  • Do numerical modelling of Offshore wind turbine structures
  • Model ice loads on offshore structures and data analysis
  • Participate in project preparation, and project management
  • Report the project results and outcomes in selected formats, including written reports in English, international conference papers, and international scientific journals.

Who we are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic talent with a Master's or PhD degree in a relevant substance area, such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, engineering physics or geophysics.
  • We expect you to have a strong background in structural mechanics, material science, and/or structural vibration analysis and strong numerical skills including scientific computing and programming skills such as ABAQUS, MATLAB, Python, FAST, Ansys or similar.
  • Interest in scientific research (and PhD studies).
  • Very good oral and written skills in English.
  • Previous knowledge of Offshore wind power, ice mechanics, Arctic research, project management, and project preparation are an asset.
  • You can be either a young talent or have already gained experience in the field.

As a person, we hope that you are:

  • A fast learner who is capable of working in a proactive, flexible, and independent manner, and collaborating with colleagues across different fields of science and technology
