Luke is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in wildlife ecology with strong expertise in quantitative analysis, to work in the project “Protection by deception: from predator behavior to predator–prey dynamics”.
Research Scientist (postdoc) position in wildlife ecology and population dynamics. The strongly analytically oriented work is related to a project named: “Protection by deception: from predator behavior to predator–prey dynamics”. Using demographic modelling and time-series analysis, the research aims to unravel the effects of mammal predation on waterfowl populations, and to quantify the effects of various predation mitigating strategies. The main work tasks will be scientific research, including demographic modelling and data analyses, manuscript preparation and taking the lead of the publication process. The work will be supervised by two Senior Scientists at Luke and will also involve national collaboration with University of Turku and international research collaboration with University of Oslo, including a one-month research visit.
