What you will do
- Develop strategies for the growth of imec’s portfolio on AI & Data
- Identify new areas for growth and opportunities to further develop AI activities.
- Identify and build partnerships at the national and European domain, with a strong focus on regional industry (Flanders) collaborations.
- Drive discussions with partners from discovery to funded collaborations.
- Represent imec’s AI strategy and activities in national and international events.
- Identify and follow-up on funding opportunities, with a strong focus on national and European grant funding.
- Report to the department director AI.

Who you are
- You have at least 10 years of experience in research & innovation with at least the last 5 years in a research valorization role.
- You have the ability to combine a strong technical vision on AI with business insights.
- You’re able to quickly spot new opportunities in partnerships.
- You’re able to quickly assess internal areas and coach researchers on how to make offerings clearer.
- You have a strong knowledge about the local and European funding landscape.
- You have a broad network in industrial collaborations and partnerships and a strong knowledge of the Flemish research ecosystem.
